The Men’s Lakers finished as runner-up in its Ohio Regional Campus (ORC) state tournament last weekend. The Lakers beat Ohio University Eastern on Saturday, 92-80, and came within one point, in a very tight game, of winning the tournament, going down to Miami Middletown, 69,70. The men’s record now stands at 23-12.
Alan Vining from Crestview High School and Jeff Quellhorst from New Bremen each had 20 points in the 92-80 win over Eastern. Colby Rager from Van Wert lead the Lakers with 23 points in the 69-70 loss. Jeff Quellhorst and Ben Ayers from Van Wert High School were selected to the all tournament team.
