The Wright State University and the Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health invite registered nurses interested in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion program to attend an informational session on Thursday, March 20, at Wright State’s Lake Campus. Interested persons may stop in anytime between the hours of 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., and may bring transcripts for evaluation of transfer credit. Gwen Stevenson, Lake Campus BSN Coordinator, will be present to answer your questions. The session will be held in Room 182 Andrews Hall.
This degree completion track program meets one day per week at the Lake Campus, and the nursing major courses can be completed in seven quarters. This program presents an opportunity for busy nurses who would like to advance their careers.
The BSN program, sponsored by Wright State University and the Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health, can be completed in two ways. Registered nurses can either take classes in a traditional classroom format via distance learning technology in six quarters of one day per week sessions, or in a newly instituted and innovative web-based instructional program. Nurses have the opportunity to complete the BSN degree at any time and any place with the aid of a computer and Internet access. The interactive program incorporates multimedia, graphics, case studies, and demonstrations, and access to the extensive health-related resources available on the web. The online format includes two courses per quarter for seven consecutive quarters. Both methods offer a convenient opportunity for busy nurses who would like to advance their careers.
A new class will be starting Fall 2003, and applications for this degree are now being accepted. If you are unable to attend or would like more information, contact Gwen Stevenson, Lake Campus BSN Coordinator, at 937-775-3579 or leave a message with Carol Jones, faculty secretary at the Lake Campus, 419-586-0310 or 1-800-237-1477, extension 8310.
