Lakers’ Basketball Game Proceeds Fund New Pool Table.
Pictured is Wright State University Lake Campus’ Athletic Director Ron Rife as he cuts the ribbon officially dedicating a new pool table for the campus’ student recreation area. A concession stand and 50-50 drawings at home Lakers’ basketball games generated the funs to purchase the table. A concession stand, reminiscent of the ones at the basketball games, was open after the dedication ceremony. Funds from this concession and others that will be held will earn money to purchase cue sticks and other accessories for the new table.
During the ceremony, the men’s and women’s Lakers basketball teams were recognized for their outstanding seasons. Says Elizabeth Staugler of the Lake Campus Athletics Boosters, “We are very proud of our ‘season to remember,’ and so we served the Laker Special - hotdogs, chips and a drink.”
