Relay For Life raises funds for
American Cancer Society
Margi Moul of St. Marys is co-chairing the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society in New Bremen. It will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday June 13 and conclude at 3 p.m. on June 14.
"All of us have been touched by cancer in some way," Moul said. "We have family, friends and co-workers who have had to fight this battle. This is a way that we can really help."
The American Cancer Society raises more money for research than any other not for profit organization. All who have to face cancer benefit from that. They also provide many beneficial programs here in Auglaize County.
The theme for our Relay for Life will be "The Wizard of Oz."
"Why not join John and my team or put together your own team and join us as we head down the yellow brick road to search for a cure?" Moul added.
You are encouraged to bring your RV or tent and plan to stay the entire time. Each team is composed of 8 - 15 people. There should be someone from each team on the field the entire time. Each team member needs to pay a $15 commitment fee and they are asked to raise at least $100 before the Relay. At the Relay, your team could still raise money by some kind of on-site fund raising.
