Library Sets April Calendar Events

ST. MARYS -- The St. Marys Community Public Library has scheduled numerous events and activities for the month of April

APRIL 6-12 NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK – CELEBRATE @ YOUR LIBRARY! For more information about National Library Week and the St. Marys Community Public Library, including the services and programs for all ages, call (419) 394-7471 or visit the Library at 140 South Chestnut Street.

APRIL 6 AUTHOR VISIT WITH GLENNA MECKSTROTH. 2 p.m. Free. The public is invited to meet area author, Glenna Meckstroth, as she discusses her second book, Surviving World War II: Tales of Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times. Following the program there will be a book signing and author reception. Meckstroth’s books will be available for sale. APRIL 8 “LET’S TALK ABOUT IT” BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP. Adults gather at 7:30 p.m. to discuss The Town That Started the Civil War by Nat Brandt. Scholar Mary Molitierno will host the discussion. APRIL 12 MONOPOLY TOURNAMENT – 10:00 a.m. to ???. This tournament is an open challenge to teens, but anyone old enough to read the rules and follow directions can play if we need more players. We’ll play the shortened form of the game, and we play to win games and other prizes. Sponsored by the Hasbro Company and hosted by the Young Adult Advisory Group. Sign up at school or the Library.
