Wright State University’s Lake Campus is pleased to announce that The Reynolds and Reynolds Company in cooperation with the Lake Campus is continuing to sponsor the ACE (Advancing Competitiveness Through Education) program at the campus and has awarded a new scholarship for the 2002-03 academic year at the campus. This year’s scholarship recipient is Sarah York of Russia who is a freshman in the Organizational Leadership program at the Lake Campus. York is the daughter of Steve and Bonnie York of Russia.
Trisha Kremer of Marion Local, who received her bachelor’s degree in management from Wright State University in the spring of 2002, has received the scholarship for the past four years, beginning in 1998. Kremer has now taken a position as a management trainee with Reynolds & Reynolds.
Another continuing award recipient is Adam Wendel of Celina who will receive his bachelor of science in business from Wright State University this spring. The first recipient of the ACE scholarship awarded by Reynolds & Reynolds was Danielle Doenges. Danielle graduated from Wright State University in June 2001, also with a bachelor of science in business degree.
The ACE program, established in cooperation with the Lake Campus, provides recipients with a four-year scholarship, a 10-week summer internship at Reynolds and Reynolds, and year-round mentorship at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina. The scholarship alone will provide $2,500 for each of the four years of the recipients’ college education, for a total of $10,000 each. The hands-on experience ensures students can be able to apply their academic knowledge to a broad area of the day-to-day operations of a company.
