Local Cheerleaders to Compete at Nationals

A group of St. Marys cheerleaders will be competing in the Cheerleaders Of America National Championships, April 17-20, 2003 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Andrea Angstmann, Morgan Applegate, Lauren Barnes, Courtney Hardin, Meggan Daniel and Sara Wolfe, all of St. Marys, will travel to Florida to compete as part of the Celina Lakers' Senior Open squad. Senior Open team members range in age from 7th through 12th grades.
The Lakers have been engaged in many fundraisers to pay for the trip, including staffing concession stands at the University of Dayton Arena, Nutter Center and Dayton Dragons' home games at Fifth-Third Field.
They are currently selling flowers, available to purchase a variety of ways from $13 per flat of starts, to $30 for a hanging basket. The flower sale fund raiser will end April 26, 2003.
