The St. Marys Optimist Club is once again sponsoring Bike Safety Day. The 17th Annual event will be held, rain or shine, in the South Street parking lot across from Memorial High School at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003.
Bike Safety Day is an instructive and fun event for boys and girls of age 6 through 15 years. The first 50 children will receive a free bike helmet.
A bicycle obstacle course will be set up to test the skills of those who bring their own bikes, and bike owners will be able to license their bikes free of charge.
Free refreshments and snacks will be available and drawings will be held for free bicycles and other prizes.
