"Lima Swing 2000" Swings in the Park Sunday
The 2003 St. Marys Rotary Club "Concert in the Park" series continues on Sunday, June 1, at 7:00 PM in Memorial Park Gazebo, featuring Lima Swing 2000. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held in the Performing Arts Center of Memorial High School.
This versatile group of jazz musicians from the Lima area helps keep the great music of the swing era alive! In its fifth year, LS2K continues to entertain audiences with swing and jazz music from the 30's to today, from Ellington to the Big Bad Voodoo Daddies. They feature vocalist Tesa James and such well-known jazz musicians such as Don Hurless, Ed Zickafoose, George Miller, and Scott Rogers.
The St. Marys Rotary Club has sponsored the "Concert in the Park" series for the citizens of St. Marys for the past eleven years. The next performance in the series will be a special Father's Day performance on Sunday, June 15, at 7:00 PM with the Soundwaves Chorus. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, a picnic basket, and get ready to clap, hum, or sing-a-long with all of the performances this summer!
Thanks, Dane Newlove.
