Pictured above, Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) Board Charter Member Ed Noble presents a check for $379,222.68 in behalf of the late Reuben E. and Leola A. Wissman, formerly of Minster, to be added to the Reuben and Leola Wissman Scholarship the Lake Campus. Accepting the check are WOEF Board President Dee Whitcraft, Wright State University President Kim Goldenberg, Lake Campus Dean Anita Curry-Jackson, and Lake Campus Assistant Dean for Development Thomas Knapke.
The couple had requested that applications for scholarship in the engineering technology program at the Lake Campus be given preference in the award of scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded to students to be selected based upon their situational needs and work or volunteer experience.
The presentation was made during the University Board of Trustees meeting at the Lake Campus on Friday. Annually, the University board holds one of its meetings at the Lake Campus. In attendance in addition to the Board were University President Dr. Kim Goldenberg, University Senior Vice-President and Provost Dr. Perry Moore, and a number of other university administrators and representatives, including Dr. David Hopkins, who will assume Provost duties for the University on July 1.
