ST. MARYS Holy Rosary Parish will be holding their annual festival Friday, July 11, Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13 on the church and school grounds in St. Marys.
Parishioners are selling raffle tickets for the annual drawing with cash prizes valued at $8500. This year the top prize will be $3500 in cash; second place prize, $2000 and third and fourth places, $1000 each. Fifth and sixth place winners will receive $500 each.
Tickets are available by contacting any parish member or the Holy Rosary Parish Office (394-5050). Ticket costs are $1 each or six for $5. Those tickets also make participants eligible for two hourly attendance drawings for $25. These drawings will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday; 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
The festival begins Friday, July 11 with the Knights of Columbus fish fry from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the K of C Hall at the corner of Spring and Pine Streets. The festivalšs tasty chicken dinners will be served Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. , also in the K of C Hall.
Entertainment is scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings with Back Seat Driver on stage Saturday evening from 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday afternoon the nationally sanctioned kiddies tractor pull will begin at 1 p.m. Registration will begin at noon.
As the tradition, the festival will feature a top-notch lunch stand featuring a wide variety of menu items including pork sandwiches and turtle soup. Kiddie games and rides, games of chance, the cake wheel, and other fun events will also be available on the grounds. Bingo will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
