Memorial Television (MTV), in conjunction with the Grand Opera House, is replaying Roughrider varsity football games on Friday nights on the theater movie screen.
The first screening, held after the Wapak game, was seen by a dozen lucky fans.
"The picture and audio were simply amazing," raved MTV advisor Doug Spencer. "I think this would be a neat night for Rider fans to attend."
The Ottawa-Glandorf game on Friday, September 12, will not be shown because it's too far away to get the DVD back in time, but screenings will resume following the Van Wert home game on September 19, and continue every game thereafter.
Admission to the screening is $1.00, with 1/2 going to MTV. Screenings begin as soon as possible following the games on Friday nights.
"The screen is about 20' x 20'," Spencer added. "It truly is awesome."
