Auglaize County Academic Excellence Scholarships

Honored at a recent reception given by the Lake Campus of Wright State University and the Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) were recipients of the $3,000 Academic Excellence Scholarships, renewable for a 2nd year for $1000, for the 2003-2004 academic year at the Lake Campus. Auglaize County participants included Auglaize County WOEF Trustee Katy Dicke; recipients Kevin M. Kuehner, Minster High School; and Emily E. Axe, St. Marys Memorial; and Auglaize County WOEF Trustee Ed Noble. Other Auglaize County recipients not in attendance are Carol M. Borchers, New Bremen; Stephanie A. Brookman, New Knoxville; Andrea L. Rempfer, Spencerville; and Christopher M. Burden, Wapakoneta.
The Lake Campus and the Western Ohio Educational Foundation took the occasion of this reception to honor recipients of scholarships and grants awarded for the 2003-2004 academic year. In attendance, in addition to scholarship winners and their families, were Lake Campus faculty and staff members and WOEF Board trustees. To date, 131 awards for a total of $150,324 have been awarded. Scholarships and grants are funded by the WOEF Board, various individuals, community organizations, corporations, and endowment funds.
