Minnich to Reign Over MHS Homecoming Court

Mindy Minnich will be crowned 2003 Memorial High School Homecoming Queen Friday prior to the St. Marys-Shawnee football game at Skip Baughman Stadium.

Mindy is the daughter of Don and Cam Minnich. She is active in Student Council, Spanish Club, Art Club, M-Teens, SADD, Pep Club, Thespians, and played soccer. She has been the Sophomore Class Secretary and is the treasurer of her senior class. Mindy is also involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the mentoring program, tutors and works at the St. Marys Living Center.

She plans to go to a two-year school and major in nursing. Mindy is being escorted by senior Ryan Peters, son of Bev McGue. He is representing Student Council.

The coronation of the queen will be done by 2002 Homecoming Queen, Rachel Dove.

Rachel is the daughter of Mike and Sandy Dove. She is a freshman at Toledo University. Rachel is being escorted by Tom Knous Jr., son of Tom and Ruth Knous and last year’s recipient of the Skip Baughman Scholarship. Tom is attending Ohio Northern University.

The crown bearer for the evening is Kami Menchhofer, daughter of Kyle and Kim Menchhofer.

The 2003 Court includes Freshman Attendant Lindsay Thomas. Lindsay is the daughter of Duane and Cindy Thomas, She plays baritone in the marching band and enjoys track. Lindsay is active in her church and participated in the Relay for Life.

Lindsay is being escorted by senior Nathan Dicus, son of Gregg and Denise Dicus. He is representing the Memorial High School DECA program.

Liz Barton is the sophomore attendant. She is the daughter of Brad and Anita Barton. She plays volleyball, softball, is active in band, Student Council and Spanish Club. Liz volunteers at Otterbein and helps with Goodfellows.

She is escorted by Nathan Long, son of John and Marlene Long. He is representing the Future Farmers of America.

Kylie Wright is the Junior Attendant. She is the daughter of Dave and Jodi Wright. Kylie is active in tennis, swimming, softball, Art Club, FCA and helps with Goodfellows.

She is being escorted by Louie Doenges, son of Bill and Edith Doenges. He is representing the Scholastic Bowl Team.

Angie Katterheinrich is the Senior Attendant. She is the daughter of Steve and Sara Katterheinrich. Angie is involved in choir, basketball, SADD, secretary of M-Teens, Polar Bears Club, Art Club, Pep Club, attendance aide, attended Ohio Business Week 2003, and was freshman class secretary. Angie helps with Goodfellows and is employed by Buds Chevy-Olds-Buick. She plans to attend a four-year college and major in education or physical therapy.

She is being escorted by senior Luke Tompary, son of Mark and Sigrid Tompary. He is representing National Honor Society
