The Lake Campus of Wright State University is sponsoring Bell’ Italia, a trip to Italy, in March 2004. The excursion, open to Wright State University students as well as members of the community, will depart March 18, 2004.
The flight from Columbus, Ohio, will first stop in Milan, Italy’s fashion capital, and then on to Florence, Siena, Assisi, the Vatican City, and Rome.
In Venice, experience the enchantment of the Floating City with an excursion through St. Mark’s Square and a visit to the Doges’ Palace. Next visit Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, where guided tours will include a visit to Giotto’s Bell Tower and the marble cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo.
On the Siena-Assisi outing, in addition to other highlights, you will be able to view the works by such Renaissance masters as Donatello and Michelangelo. Then the tour goes on to Rome, the Eternal City, and the Vatican. Tours in Rome include a visit to the Trevi Foundation, the Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Coliseum, and the Roman Forum.
The cost of the tour is approximately $1,545 for students under age 25 and $1,825 for people 25 and older. Included in the cost are the roundtrip airfare, all European breakfasts and evening dinners, sleeping accommodations, and the services of an English-speaking guide. Only lunches and any incidentals are not included.
