Lean Manufacturing Program for Employers in Auglaize, Mercer, and Van Wert Counties.
The Business Enterprise Center (BEC) would like to personally invite you to attend an informational breakfast meeting to learn how your local industry can benefit from a new Lean Manufacturing implementation program. The breakfast meeting is being held on Friday, January 16, from 7:30-9:00 a.m. in the auditorium at Wright State University's Lake Campus in Celina. There is no cost to attend.
“The campus has been awarded up to $50,000 in Targeted Industry Grants dedicated to our local businesses. The funds can match between 50 - 75% of the total employer cost for the training program, depending on qualifications,” notes Julie Miller, BEC representative.
By participating in a Lean Manufacturing User Group, you and up to four of your co-workers together with other manufacturers will:
- Develop a Lean Manufacturing strategy for your facility
- Learn the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing
- Learn how and when to use the tools associated with Lean Manufacturing
- Practice and implement specific tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events on-site at your facility.
This program will be presented in the most cost-effective manner possible, utilizing a five to seven company "User-Group" model that has been successful for other employers in West Central Ohio. The User Group format promotes a group learning atmosphere, sharing of ideas, and offers individual plant implementation assistance.
The selected instructors from CAMP, Inc. have excelled in the application and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles. The organization has assisted hundreds of Ohio manufacturers who report millions of dollars in savings.
CAMP, Inc. is a non-profit, professional organization that delivers expert, hands-on engineering, business, and training services to manufacturers and other technology-based partners. Funding for CAMP comes from the Ohio Department of Development’s Edison Technology Program, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and private industry support.
