MHS Tabs Buckeye Boys,
Girls State Delegates
Memorial High School Principal Mike Makley has announced delegates and alternates for both the Boys Buckeye State and Girls Buckeye State conventions.
Buckeye Boys State is sponsored by the American Legion and will be held June 12-20, 2004 at Bowling Green State University.
MHS boys delegates include: Brandon Bowsher, son of Craig and Barbara Bowsher; Jonathan Burke, son of Tom and Tess Burke; Mark Dieringer, son of Gregg and Kathy Dieringer; Steven Falasco, son of Ron and Erin Falasco; and Robert Pierce, son of Edwin and Kimberlee Pierce.
Notified as an alternate was Eric Fiely, son of John and Judy Fiely.
Buckeye Boys State is a seminar in government taught through practical application, where a young man learns that government and good citizenship are inseparable.
Buckeye Girls State, also sponsored by the American Legion, will be held June 13-19 at Ashland University.
MHS girls delegates include: Kelsey Brown, daughter of Bruce and Hayley Brown; Amy Buck, daughter of Ron and Cathy Buck; Kyrsten Chambers, daughter of Todd Chambers and Chris Chambers; and Maggie Riesen, daughter of Doug and Theresa Riesen.
Also notified as alternates were Beth Curtis, daughter of Keith and Cindy Curtis; Ann Goodwin, daughter of Gene and Cheryl Goodwin; and Megan Schlegel, daughter of Kent and Marcia Schlegel.
