St. Marys Ohio -- The first ever Miss West Central Ohio Scholarship Program is beginning to take shape. Applications are being taken between August 15 – October 15, only the first 20 girls will be accepted. To qualify you must have completed high school or be a senior graduating this year. The pageant is open to single women between the ages of 17 and 24. For more info please visit www.misswestcentralohio.4t.com. The pageant is open to 7 counties: Auglaize, Mercer, Logan, Shelby, Allen, Van Wert, and Hardin Counties.
The Miss West Central Ohio Scholarship Program will be giving away $1500 in scholarship money. The staff plans to sell Chicken Dinners, which included: 1/2 chicken with two side dishes and a dinner roll. All profits will go to the scholarship program. Tickets for the chicken dinner are available at St. Marys Trading Co. and at the St. Marys Theater for $6.00, chicken dinners will be held on October 9, 2004.
The Miss West Central Ohio Sholarship Program will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6. Tickets are $10.00 and are also available at the St. Marys Trading Co., and can be picked up at the St. Marys Theater. The winner of this year's pageant will get the chance to compete in the Miss Ohio program, where the winner then goes on to compete for the Miss America title.
