acabee [E] A rare, moderately large species of flora, related distantly to the blowantreow [T]; bearing rich, juice-engorged fruit, the ingestion of which results in a subtle but significant change in the odor of the eater's perspiration. 30.

adospee [E] A derogation, and as such usually thought rather than spoken, meaningless in any literal sense, but used to imply a lack of fortitude, resolve, and/or reproductive organs: compare "orpensnucestee" [E], "sahnwah" [L], (no [T] equivalent). 30.

aexfee [E] Excrement; used in speech and thought as an interjection of alarm; also, a derogation usually thought rather than spoken, used to imply general worthlessness or lack of character: compare "krot" [L], "moc" [T]. 30.

antunge [T] Female of the species: compare "eminafee" [E], "numpa" [L]. 1.

anusvee [E] Void, empty: compare "dryge" [T]; also used as a derogation, usually thought rather than spoken, to imply stupidity or lack of judgment, etc.: compare "ebeshee" [E]. 34.

asmee [E] Male of the species: compare "um" [L], "twatunge" [T]. 31.

batohram [L] A small and hence maneuverable but relatively unstable watercraft, accomodating no more than two, propelled by ram(s) [L] manipulated by one or both passengers. 20.

batohvahn [L] A moderately large watercraft, accomodating four passengers, with some large ~s carrying up to one hand; distinguishable by the obvious presence of their vahnsacks [L], which contrivances serve to propel the ~ by redirecting the force of their resistance to the wind. 20.

bea [L] A small, spherical globe fashioned of crockery, used almost exclusively in beazhat [L], a game. 19.

bealcian [T] The exhalation, release, or expulsion of any of several naturally accumulated body gases, generally unremarkable in its occurance but occasionally brought out intentionally as a sudden show of prowess or disrespect. 5.

beazhat [L] A subtle game of skill, its simplest form involving causing a dropped bea [L] to roll through a moving zhat [L] in such a way that it emerges again and can be caught in mid-air by the player. 19.

beckyrev [L] A small, tuberous species of flora, the root of which, when ingested, is toxic, usually fatally: compare "weodwyrt" [T]. 20.

becumanfisc [T] Sexual intercourse; specifically, the disorienting climactic sensations experienced at the moment of gratification: compare "iscisfiopee" [E], "sfaerlipuasahn" [L]. 1.

Bisuree [E] The name of the seat of the populace. 30.

blaorzh [L] A moderately short, stalky species of flora, related distantly to shoam [L]; cultivated for its yield of seed, which, when prepared, is edible. 19.

blatyay [L] The Laizuvrian word for a negotiator at the trockzelay [L]. 22.

blowanslaep [T] The ripe fruit of the blowantreow [T], ingestion of which leads directly to irreversible unconsciousness and eventually to death (through starvation). 1.

blowantreow [T] A large, moderately rare species of blooming flora, related distantly to the acabee [E]; with bowl-shaped motile leaves which close to white rain-drop shaped bulbs at night and open to expose dark purple interiors to the sun at day; distinguished by large aromatic seasonal blossoms which develop into a heavy, juice-engorged and powerfully narcotic fruit. 1.

borenlatost [T] The protective membranes and fluids formerly surrounding the unborn fisccild [T] rejected by the sliefenumen [T] shortly after giving birth. 1.

Ceapig [T] The island site of the seasonal Great Bazaar: compare "Ealdlazay Fair" [L]. 16.

cild [T] A youth: compare "uerpee'' [E]. 1.

cildetan [T] A derogation, literally meaning "cannibal"; used as a synonym for "Mocwalwian" [T]; referring to the harbored deep (but unsubstantiated) suspicion of such acts being practiced by that race. 10.

cnawannawiht [T] The condemnation as being insane (or extremely incompetant) by an Yldra [T]; also used as a serious derogation. 2.

coecil [T] A staple baked foodstuff, the predominant ingredient of which is ground kernals: compare "pahnbatohn" [L]. 2.

dacoar [L] Affirmative, yes: compare "icsee" [E], "um" [T]. 19.

doab [L] A type of watery comestible, made by cooking various ingredients together in a large metal zhat [L]. 20.

dryge [T] Empty, void: compare "anusvee" [E]. 2.

drygebunge [T] An obscene derogation, generally indicating uselessness or obsolescence, but rarely used. 6.

drygeslaep [T] The gradual but irreversible and usually fatal somnolence falling on lone hunters long in the forest. 9.

Ealdlazay Fair [L] The island site of the seasonal trockzelay [L]: compare "Ceapig" [T]. 19.

Eatopygiastee [E] An intelligent, social species of fauna; moderately small in size, standing nearly upright on two parallel but rather widely separated legs, and distinguished by a broad, imposing, and exaggerated posterior, and by communicating inter-racially both by thought and by a spoken language. 31.

ebeshee [E] A derogation, usually thought rather than spoken, implying vacuousness or dullness: compare "anusvee," "ermisvee" "ofaexedee," "ufobee." [E], "peh," "sahnsaervoh" [L], "cnawannawiht," "mocsaec," "saelig" [T]. 30.

Efessidee [E] The ancient mythical, vanished superior race: compare "Nemornivini" [L], "Libbannawiht" [T]. 36.

eminafee [E] The female of the species: compare "numpa" [L], "antunge" [T]. 32.

ercusstee [E] A vulgarity literally meaning "excrement" but considered more forceful than "aexfee" [E]: compare "krot" [L], "moc" [T]. 30.

ermisvee [E] A very small invertebrate legless species of fauna: compare the distantly related "orvay" [L]; ~ is used almost exclusively as a derogation, thought rather than spoken, referring to timidity or vacillation: compare "sahnwah" [L], "mocsaec," "thriddahype." [T]. 30.

espavee [E] A small, winged species of fauna; distinguishable by the humming sound generated by the rapid motion of its wings and by its slightly painful and lingeringly irritating sting: compare "frailohn" [L], "sphex'' [T]. 31.

farg [L] The side-board extensions added to the gunwales of vaisohs [L] to accomodate over-loading. 22.

fazh [L] Something dirty, vile, or contemptible. 23.

fisccild [T] An unborn Traeppedelfere, known as such for a short time after its actual birth until it begins breathing on its own. 1.

fiscetan (archaic) [T] A heretic, a savage, an unbeliever. 8.

finishee [E] Omofinishee [E]. 35.

flotasaec [T] A small, legless species of fauna, rare outside the shoam [L] plains; distinguishable by its ability to generate noxious gases which it can contain in its expandable body to achieve bouyancy in the air and release at will, once suspended, to give it motion or to stun its victims: compare ""malwozzoh" [L]: also; a mild derogation inferring the target to be similarly filled with undesirable materials. 5.

fo [L] An implement used to cut down blaorzh [L] at harvest, made with a long, slightly curved, sharpened metal blade attached at approximately right angles to a haft with two handles: also; negative, no. 19.

frailohn [L] A species of fauna: compare "espavee" [E], "sphex" [T]. 27.

fyrstan [T] A mineral deposit mined for its use as a burnable fuel: compare sharbohn" [L]. 2.

gemaed [T] Insane, crazy; roughly equivalent but considered less damning than "cnawannawiht" and without that word's legal implications: compare "ebeshee" [E], "sahnsaervoh" [L]. 10.

Giestranweard [T] Title of the lore-master. 6.

gos [T] An irritating, sometimes painfully violent, repetitive convulsion of the abdomen. 2.

grunddwellan [T] Any of many small species of fauna, generally four-legged, vertebrate, characterized by taking up residence under spreading flora, rocks, or ground. 3.

hand [E, L, T] The appendage: also; the next whole number following five (5): compare "usnilunee" [E]: also [T,L]; the unit of measure representing the average distance between the tips of the opposite outstretched fingers on one ~. 1.

idascee [E] Literally, a flat frond; but through use has come to mean the surfaces on which information is scratched and thereby recorded. 31.

ilixfee [E] A moderately tall species of flora, rarely found outside the fens; distinguishable by its single massive, smooth bole, rising up to a sudden eruption of apparently insubstantial finger-like fronds. 33.

krot [L] Primarily, livestock dung spread as fertilizer: compare "aexfee" [E], "moc" [T]: also; a vulgar interjection: compare "ercusstee" [E], "shyay" [L], "moc" [T]. 22.

Laizuvry [L] A distinct race of a moderately large species of intelligent social fauna; vertebrate, standing upright on two legs; distinguishable by its smooth, relatively dark-pigmented skin and thinness of torso: compare "Mocwalwian" [T]. 19.

Libbannawiht [T] The ancient, mythical, vanished superior race: compare "Effesidee" [E], "Nemornivini" [L]. 8.

Luhvluhv [L] The name of the great river that flows through Todymody [L]. 19.

maciantol [T] A skilled metal-worker. 2.

Maegenyldra [T] One of the three most powerful leaders of the race. 2.

mairdly [L] A vulgarity generally invoked to express dissatisfaction with a current situation, literally meaning to involuntarily soil one's resting-place: compare "ercusstee" [E], "moc" [T]. 19.

malwozzoh [L] A small, poisonous, self-inflating species of fauna; rarely found outside the shoam [L] plains: compare "flotasaec" [T]. 19.

marshmancay [L] A pre-planned or spontaneous bartering of goods. 20.

'mediushee [E] Omomediushee [E]. 34.

mersc [T] A word used by Monwyrt naming the wet lowlands: fens. 31.

mezzohnmohr [L] The large hut used to (temporarily) store, then prepare and honor the deceased. 24.

moc [T] Literally, "excrement": compare "aexfee" [E], "krot" [L]: but almost always used as a vulgar commonplace exclamation intended to express surprise or disgust: compare "ercusstee" [E], "mairdly, "shyay" [L]. 2.

mocbraegen [T] A mild derogation, used in friendly banter, literally comparing one's mind to fecal matter. 21.

mocetan [T] Exclusively a derogation expressing displeasure, usually with a conflicting personality; having no factual basis, but oddly similar to "ofaexedee" [E]. 2.

mocsaec [T] A richly descriptive and deservedly well-used term of opinion succinctly describing the essence of an antagonist's persona as being full of it. 6.

Mocwalwian [T] The race of plains-dwellers: compare "Laizuvry" [L]. 1.

morwecippian [T] An apprentice in one of the skilled crafts. 6.

morwegiestranweard [T] An apprentice to the Giestranweard [T]. 7.

morwemodor [T] An apprentice to the Wrencanmodor [T]. 1.

Nemornivini [L] The ancient, mythical, vanished superior race: compare "Effessidee" [E], "Libbannawiht" [T]. 28.

numpa [L] The female of the race: compare "eminafee" [E], "antunge" [T]. 19.

odee cipiacee [E] The archaic means "fair trade"; but this has been perverted over time to become the most foul obscenity in the language, referring explicitely to the act of overt sexual intercourse but applied to every possible situation, rendering the term one of enviable flexibility: compare "tungebunge" [T]. 30.

oedusfee [E] Ugly, repulsive; an ugly and/or repulsive individual: compare "slow" [L]. 30.

ofaexedee [E] A vulgar but affectionate and appropriate nickname for the iscelervee [E], alluding rather directly to that creature's taste for (fresh) feces of all sorts. 30.

omofinishee [E] The outriders of Bisuree. 31.

omomediushee [E] A clerk or assistant to one of the First or Second Hand. 31.

oof [L] A pre-embryonic vashlyloss [L] still encased in its semi-rigid protective membrane and discharged from the body of the parent for external maturation until birth. 21.

orpensnucestee [E] Strictly a derogation (not spoken aloud under any circumstance) although not technically as severe as adospee [E]; accusing the recipiant of sexual dysfunction: compare "sahnwah" [L], (no equivalent in [T]). 30.

Orsnumquammee [E] A member of the vanished superior race who returns to help the developing mortals avoid the "mistakes" that led to their disappearance: compare "Waeccelang" [T]. 30.

orstorqueomee [E] A large cortex-dominated species of fauna; vertebrate, carnivorous, distinguishable by the three muscular legs on each side of its torso and its long well-developed tail; found only in the fens: compare "ruhhnecca" [T]. 32.

orvay [L] Immature offspring of the malwozzoh [L] (compare "flotasaec" [T]); distinguishable by its three tube-like sucking motile mandibles and the soft but audible clicking sound it generates by moving: compare "ermisvee" [E]. 23.

oxagrete [T] A very large, cortex-dominated species of fauna; found only in high forests; distinguished by its indominable strength and ferocity, with four legs, armed with sharp hooves and wielding great horns as weapons. 1.

P

pahnbatohn [L] A staple baked foodstuff, the basic ingredients of which are ground blaorzh [L] and oofs [L]: compare "coecil" [T]. 20.

pairsh [L] A long rod or pole used to propel vaisohs [L] through the water by pushing off against the bottom of the waterway. 23.

peh [L] The act of relieving oneself of accumulated intestinal gas; or the gas itself: compare "bealcian" [T]. 21.

pelkrot [L] An implement consisting of a large scoop on a long haft, used in fertilizing fields. 25.

poobell [L] A small ceremonial zhat [L] in which is deposited a miniscule quantity of the remains of the deceased, to be given to individual mourners for their private rites of remembrance. 25.

rabazhwah [L] Any wetted item (preferably a rug or blanket) used to help extinguish or prevent a fire. 19.

ram [L] A relatively short pole with a wide blade attached or built integrally, used to manually propel a batohram [L] through water. 24.

ruhhnecca [T] The name coined by Monwyrt for an orstorqueomee [E]. 32.

ruttetunge [T] The male organ, especially when aroused. 7.

ryman [T] To cut open, as with a knife; or the opening itself. 32.

saelig [T] The effect of intoxicants; a fey mood. 2.

sahvahn [L] Any of several small cold-blooded species of water-fauna; distinguished by its unpleasant stare and sparkling plated skin; much sought-after as a source of food: compare "truhthalig" [T]. 20.

sahvahnuhr [L] A vendor of sahvahn [L]. 26.

salu [L] A social greeting. 20.

sceadutreow [T] A large, populous species of flora found covering larger hills and mountainsides; distinguished by their dark green motile leaves which curl tightly shut at night to husband warmth. 1.

shoam [L] A moderately tall, stalky species of flora; found covering the flat plains almost to the exclusion of all else. 19.

shoz [L] The cultivated fields. 19.

shyay [L] Literally, "excrement"; but used almost exclusively as an epithet conveying extreme disgust: compare "ercusstee" [E], "moc" [T]. 20.

sliefenumen [T] The condition of carrying a fisccild, more specifically referring to loss of the libido during this period. 1.

slow [L] A derogation expressive of slovenliness, physical and/or moral; or one so accused. 21.

smaec [T] A demonstration of affection, accomplished by pressing one's mouth upon the demonstratee and applying a slight vacuum, for an indeterminate length of time. 6.

Traeppedelfere [T] A distinct race of a moderately large species of intelligent social fauna; found almost exclusively in or near their caves in the high mountains; distinguishable by their wanness, double eyelids covering somewhat yellowish eyes, and breadth of torso. 1.

treowdwellan [T] Any of many small, winged or crawling species of fauna; found throughout the forests; distinguished by its selection of the large flora as its resting-place and by its eruption of calls at dawn and dusk. 3.

triewthnawiht [T] A liar: compare "twatunge" [T]. 2.

trockzelay [L] The major trade of the Ealdlazay Fair [L]: blaorzh [L] for sharbohn [L] (compare "fyrstan" [T]), presided over by the blatyay [L]. 19.

truhthalig [T] Any of several small, cold-blooded species of water-fauna; distinguishable by its many-colored hide; and revered as a supernatural creature for its ability to survive without breath: compare "sahvahn" [L]. 1.

tungebunge [T] A forceful multipurpose expletive literally referring to the insertion (reception) of any thing into (by) any other thing; but most often correctly interpreted as merely being an obscene interjection: compare "odee cipiacee" [E]. 6.

weodhwit [T] A small species of flora; found predominantly in the forests but also in places along streams and riverbanks; distinguishable by its tiny white blossoms. 1.

widucippian [T] A skilled fabricator of wains, carts, casks, etc. 2.

zhat [L] A usually rounded vessel of kiln-fired crockery or metal used for a variety of purposes. 19.
