BUG IN QUESTIONNAIRE FORM!
May 25, 2002 -- There is a bug in all ridertown.com forms which returns an error message instead of sending the data. This is a problem with bright.net which I will not be able to get corrected until regular business hours resume on Tuesday, May 28. Try the form after Tuesday and watch this space for updates. Sorry for the inconvenience. -- Chris Botkin

June 2 Update:
29 classmates (53 people, including spouse/dates), are signed up to attend the reunion. Pathetic. Please get your responses in soon, folks, so I have time to get your info in the booklet. ASAP, the sooner the better, pronto, get the lead out, move it. -- Chris Botkin.

TODAY'S THE DAY!
June 22, 2002 -- If you're not here, you're somewhere else! Your loss. Hope to see you in five. -- Chris Botkin
Reunion Notes:
June 23, 2002 -- The MHS Class of 1972 30th Reunion is now history, and a fine night it was. Too bad if you missed it! Seventy-five people, including 42 classmates, attended (see list at bottom of page).
Following Happy Hour and a cattle-crossing photo op in Memorial Park, Chris Botkin greeted the crowd with a bizarre but well-received lie about his supposedly scandalous birth (click HERE for script) and thanked the Committee members.
Marcia Helentjaris passed out gag door prizes. Instead of a trip to New York City, due to the small Class budget, Ken and Kathy Patterson were presented with hats that made them resemble the Statue of Liberty, confetti and a roll of duct tape (just because) for being the longest married couple in attendance (30 years). Wes Zwiebel (Sacramento) narrowly beat out Tanya Hull (Malibu) by 1/2" as measured on a map of the US, for farthest travelled to attend the Reunion. In a vote measured by audience applause, Ken Cline received 45%, Rees McKee received 65% and Roger Etter received 90% (we think somebody voted twice) to win the Man With The Most Hair Remaining prize. Roger and Evey Etter then won the Most Grandchildren prize with 7. Jeff Whitehead was presented a pair of handcuffs and a roll of duct tape to help control his 4-year-old, winning Youngest Child. A frighteningly excited Tanya Hull won for Most Recently Married (two years to Jim, who took it rather more calmly). Deb Francis took away a can of spray paint and a roll of duct tape for Oldest Car Running (1931 Ford).
To ensure no one has a "previous engagement" excuse for the 35th Reunion, we set the date by a show of hands: June 23, 2007, time and place To Be Announced. Mark your calendars.
The Memorial High School Class of 1972 Trust was opened for business, with four classmates signing up on the spot. The Trust is a tontine, with participants paying one dollar per year following graduation to join, the money to be held with interest until only one Classmate is left alive, who will receive the entire amount. There are penalties for delaying getting in, so join ASAP. If $1000 is not raised within one year, the Trust will be cancelled.
To close out the business, Bill Zink was selected (against his will) to chair the next Reunion Committee.
