Preschool Storytimes Set for February

ST. MARYS -- Storytimes for preschoolers, aged 3 to 5, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday in February at the St. Marys Community Public Library, according to Youth Services Coordinator, Cassie Wilson.

"Programs are planned to include stories, songs, activities, and finger plays that enhance the child's love and appreciation of good books. We invite any interested parents to register their children right away, to assure a spot for them," explains Wilson.

The programs will be held in the new portion of the library, with the following themes:

  • February 6, "Shadow Fun" (Books and activities open up the mystery of Shadowland.),
  • February 13, "Purrrfect" (Kittens and cats are too busy to just sit on their mats.),
  • February 20, "Best Seat in the House", (Fun Type Learning Activities), and
  • February 27, "Around Sounds" (Discover the rhythmic sounds of everyday life).

To make arrangements for children with special needs, please contact Mrs. Wilson one week in advance. For more information or to register, please stop by the library or call 419-394-7471. There is no charge for these programs.
