Memorial High School Alumni Directory Being Compiled

St. Marys Community Foundation ST. MARYS, OHIO -- The St. Marys City Schools and the St. Marys Community Foundation have asked Harris Publishing Graduate Connection to develop a directory of Memorial High School Alumni. There is a long range goal of organizing a Memorial High School Alumni Association to keep graduates in touch with what is happening at Memorial.

Cards have been mailed to Alumni whose addresses are known. If you are a graduate of Memorial and did not receive a card, you can update your information by calling 1-800-827-4045. You will be asked if you would like to purchase a directory. If you do not want to purchase a copy, please feel free to say no. Please contact Memorial High School at 419-394-4011 or St. Marys Community Foundation at 419-394-5693 with any questions.

Ridertown.com endorses this project...

As a faithful MHS alum, I called the 800 number above to provide my information (which basically hasn't changed for, hmmm... 25 years), and took a few notes as I did so. The call took about ten minutes.

The directories will be out in "late November," according to the representative at Harris. They will cost $79.95 plus $9.95 shipping and handling plus any applicable taxes.

I declined to immediately reserve a book, declined the advance reservation option, declined the 30-day invoicing option, declined the monthly installment option, and (at my request) was told that I could call back before June 10 and still reserve a book, if I changed my mind (which I just might do). No pressure, just persistance.

The representative really was courteous, and quickly collected my information. The Harris database mysteriously listed me as living at my son's address in Dayton, but that was soon corrected, and the rest was painless enough.

They obviously need good information, though.

Despite all that, the project is a worthwhile one which has the potential of producing an invaluable reference for the community, free - but only if you and you and you cooperate. Yes, you.

So pick up the phone and call 1-800-827-4045, Mon-Fri 7am to 9pm, Sat 9am to 5 pm, Sun 2pm to 9pm. Consider it your good deed for the day.
