ST. MARYS -- The graduation ceremonies for the Memorial High School Class of 2002 were held in McBroom Gymnasium Sunday, May 26, 2002. Representing their classmates on the dias were Valedictorian Jennifer Blaine and Salutatorian Alison Wibbeler.
Valedictorian Jennifer Blaine -- Jennifer graduates valedictorian with an 11.67 GPA on a
12.0 scale. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Blaine. While
in school, she was involved in National Honor Society, Junior
Scholars, Yearbook staff, School newspaper, Art Club(V-Pres),
Spanish Club, Science Club, Pep Club, Drama Club, M-Teens,
Band, SADD(President), and Swim Team. Jenny was selected as
the Franklin B. Walter Award winner from St. Marys, was named a
Setex Exchange Scholar, was a Sister Cities delegate representing
Memorial traveling to Japan and Germany. She attended the
Rotary World Community Workshop and was involved in the Ohio
Ambassadors of Music European Concert Tour. Jenny will attend
Wittenberg University and major in Biology and Pre-Physical
Therapy.
Salutatorian Alison Wibbeler -- Alison graduates salutatorian with an 11.60 GPA on a
12.0 scale. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wibbeler.
While in school, Alison was involved in National Honor Society,
Spanish Club, Drama Club, M-Teens, DECA, SADD, Junior
Scholars, Student Council, and Pep Club. She was also a member
of the WBL Sportsmanship Committee and played on the volleyball
and softball teams - earning All-State first team honors in softball
her senior year. She will attend the University of Findlay and major
in the Physician Assistant program.
