ST. MARYS -- Holy Rosary Parish will be holding their annual festival Friday, July 12, Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14 on the church and school grounds in St. Marys.
Parishioners are selling raffle tickets for the annual drawing with cash prizes valued at $8500. This year the top prize will be $3500 in cash; second place prize, $2000 and third and fourth places, $1000 each. Fifth and sixth place winners will receive $500 each. Tickets are available by contacting any parish member or the Holy Rosary Parish Office (394-5050). Ticket costs are $1 each or six for $5.
A full slate of entertainment is scheduled for the three-day affair. On Friday, Last Call performs from 7 to 11 p.m.. The following night, Back Seat Driver, will be on stage from 7 to 11 p.m. while on Sunday, the up-and-coming group, Dilusion, will be displaying their talents from 6 to 10 p.m. in the entertainment tent.
Sunday afternoon the nationally sanctioned kiddies tractor pull will begin at 1 p.m. Registration will begin at noon.
The festival begins Friday, July 12 with the Knights of Columbus fish fry from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the K of C Hall at the corner of Spring and Pine Streets. The festival's tasty chicken dinners will be served Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. , also in the K of C Hall.
As the tradition, the festival will feature a top-notch lunch stand featuring a wide variety of menu items including pork sandwiches and turtle soup. Kiddie games and rides, games of chance, the cake wheel, and other fun events will also be available on the grounds. Bingo will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
