Loston Harris

CCAC Sponsors Jazz Quartet

The Loston Harris Jazz Quartet will perform on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center of Memorial High School, St. Marys, Ohio.

Tickets will be on sale at the door: Adults $10, Students, $5. The performance is sponsored by the College-Community Arts Council.

The quartet features Loston Harris, based in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post describes him as "cool, incredibly gifted, and scorching!" He was the featured artist at the annual White House National Endowment of the Arts Award Luncheon.

In addition, he took part in this year's Movieline Oscars VIP event in Los Angeles, performed at Elton John's AIDS Benefit, and is a featured vocalist for the latest Michael Jordon television campaign for Hanes. According to the Los Angeles Times, Harris is "a strong singer, an imaginative pianist, and an engaging personality." USA Today assures us that "Harris never fails to impress."
