Laker Men Win Tournament
The Wright State University-Lake Campus Lakers won their season opener at the Concordia Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 1 and 2 at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.
The Lakers made it to the championship round with a 103-77 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary on Friday night. Wright State, matched against Concordia Seminary-St. Louis on Saturday, won in overtime with a score of 102-99.
High scorers for the Lakers in game one were Craig Walder and Drew Estle both with 17 pts., Alan Vining with 15 pts., and Ben Ayers with 14 pts. Game two high scorers were Craig Walder with 28 pts., followed by Colby Rager with 21 pts., Jeff Quellhorst with 15 pts., Ben Ayers with 13 pts., and Alan Vining with 12 pts.
Ben Ayers and Craig Walder were selected for the all tournament team. The Lakers record is 2-0.
The Lakers will be at home on Nov. 7 when they play host to World Harvest Bible College Warriors of Canal Winchester, Ohio. Wright States record against the Warriors is 2-2.
