Elementary Book Discussion
The Youth Services Staff at the St. Marys Community Public Library is holding a book discussion for students in fourth to sixth grade on Saturday, November 16 at 11:30 a.m.
Kevin Henkes’ novel, Sun and Spoon, will be discussed, and two hardback copies of the book, autographed by the author will be given away at the discussion.
Henkes’ Sun and Spoon is the story of a 10-year-old boy, readjusting his life after the death of his beloved grandmother. Sun and Spoon has garnered several honors, including American Bookseller Pick of the Lists, Publishers Weekly Best Book, and School Library Journal Best Book.
Students may check out Sun and Spoon at the Library prior to the discussion so that they can read the book. Please bring a sack lunch – the Library will provide a beverage and dessert for participants. Registration is requested.
