The Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter at the Lake Campus of Wright State University recently held a membership drive that featured Gold Star Sound, a local DJ and Karaoke service. BPA Drives Features Karaoke
Mercer County residents Needham and his wife Judy have been providing DJ and karaoke service to the surrounding area since they established the business in 1980.
In addition to the karaoke that students, faculty, and staff joined in on, BPA members served pizza and handed out BPA information and flyers encouraging Lake Campus students to join the local chapter.
Though Lake Campus official membership drive has been conducted, membership is open to any student currently enrolled in a business, office, or business education course at the Lake Campus of Wright State University.
Members learn how to work effectively with others and prepare for citizenship roles through leadership development, activities, workshops, and conferences. They also learn how to demonstrate occupational and other leadership skills in annual state and national competitive events held in the spring. To be able to compete in the competitive events, new members must be signed up by February 15, 2003.
Business Professionals of America is a national student organization for students preparing for careers in business and consists of local chapters in middle school, secondary, and post-secondary institutions all across North America. BPAs mission is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.
