Crown Equip. Awards Scholarships
Crown Equipment Corporation, New Bremen, is announcing that Heather C. Topp of New Bremen is the companys new full tuition scholarship recipient from Wright State Universitys Lake Campus for the 2002-2003 academic year. Dustan S. Adkins of Celina and Tyler J. Poeppelman of New Bremen, award recipients for the 2001-02 academic year, were both awarded full tuition renewal scholarships.
Topp, a freshman at the Lake Campus and the daughter of Nancy and Larry Topp, is pursuing a degree in middle childhood education. Heather teaches sixth grade religion at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen and likes to read books and enjoys running.
Adkins is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Adkins, who has carried a 4.0 GPA at the Lake Campus, now attends the Dayton campus where he works as a laboratory assistant for CATs (Computer and Telecommunications Service). The son of Paul and Mary Adkins of Celina, Dustan was a post-secondary student at the campus while enrolled at Celina High School.
Poeppelman is working toward a bachelors degree in Business and Administration and is considering the campus Organizational Leadership program. Poeppelman, the son of Ken and Cindy Poeppelman, maintains a 3.5 GPA and has been included on the deans list. Tyler is presently working part-time for Crown Equipment, and in the summer helps in the familys produce stand south of New Bremen. He likes to play guitar and basketball.
