Establishes New WSU-LC Scholarship
The Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) and the Lake Campus of Wright State University are pleased to announce that Mercer Savings Bank has established a new $1000 scholarship for a high school graduate from either Auglaize, Darke, or Mercer county.
Receiving this first scholarship for the 2002-03 academic year at the campus is Mathew P. Baltes of Versailles.
Baltes, the son of Ted and Jennie Baltes of Versailles, is a freshman majoring in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in mathematics and science. Matthew would like to teach in an area middle school when he receives his degree and licensure.
The new $1000 scholarship from Mercer Savings Bank will be awarded each year to a senior graduating from an Auglaize, Darke, or Mercer county high school who has pursued a college curriculum, has earned a 3.0 or higher GPA, and will enroll at the Lake Campus for at least 12 credit hours per quarter.
Scholarship applications for the 2003-2004 academic year will be available for pick up January 6, 2003, at the Lake Campus financial aid office or at your local high school guidance office. Also available in the financial aid office at the campus are scholarship packets for Continuing Students.
