WOEF Board Recognizes Jane Stuckman, President from 1999-2002

Pictured at right is outgoing Western Ohio Educational President Janie Stuckman receiving her commendation plaque from incoming President and Van Wert County WOEF Trustee Dee Whitcraft.

In a recent meeting of the Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) at the Lake Campus of Wright State University, Janie Stuckman, Mercer County WOEF Trustee and the board’s President from 1999 to 2002, was recognized for her years of service to the WOEF board and was presented a commemoration plaque.

The plaque reads: “To Janie Stuckman, Board President, January 1, 1999 - December 31, 2002, in recognition of outstanding leadership, dedication, and boundless efforts for administering activities enhancing the Lake Campus by the Western Ohio Educational Foundation.” Dee Whitcraft, incoming WOEF President and a Board Trustee from Van Wert County, made the presentation.

Says Thomas Knapke, Lake Campus Assistant Dean for Development, “Our campus sincerely appreciates the outstanding leadership Janie Stuckman has provided during her tenure as president of the WOEF Board and her continuing support as a board trustee representing Mercer County.”

The Western Ohio Educational Foundation was organized in 1962 in response to a growing desire for residents of the region to have access to higher education. For more than three decades, the WOEF Board has remained strongly committed to the success of the Lake Campus. While continuing to serve in its role as citizen advisors, the WOEF Board also supports special projects that more immediately benefit the needs of students. Since 1990, the Board has contributed more than $700,000 in direct scholarship assistance to area students who have chosen to attend the Lake Campus.
