February 20 Press Release

Don't Get Cut! Register for Pony League

ST. MARYS - Pony League: This year there are a limited number of roster openings on the six St. Marys Pony League baseball teams. The St. Marys National Little League's continuing goal for Pony League participation is that all players who wish to play will be assigned to a team. If there are enough new players in the league a seventh team may have to be organized. But for scheduling, coaching and equipment reasons, the Board of Directors must decide to add a team or not at their Sunday, February 25 meeting. To do that, it is absolutely necessary to know how many new players will be in the league.

Therefore, only those new Pony League players who have registered before Feb. 25 will be guaranteed to make a team. Anyone else "walking on" to Tryouts on April 7, without having registered before Feb. 25, risks being cut if there are not enough team roster openings available.

Please make it possible to make the best possible plans for the coming season. Register for Pony League baseball from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Albert Sporting Goods this Saturday, Feb. 24!
