Giving Thanks to be Community Event Again This Year
ST. MARYS -- For the second year a Thanksgiving meal will be available to county residents. Giving Thanks will again be providing a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
Those attending will also be entertained by local musicians and vocalists. The group also plans to provide transportation for those who would need it. Carryouts will also be available and deliveries will be made to county public safety personel who are working the holiday.
Last year Giving Thanks, in conjunction with a similar program in Celina, served over 500 people. This year a third location in Montezuma has been added. The meal will be served in St. Marys at the Wayne Street United Methodist Fellowship Hall from 11:00 till 2:00 on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 22). Those attending will find round tables conducive for fellowship with others. The entire room will be decorated in seasonal fashion.
The Celina location will be at Celina Senior High School and the Montezuma location at the United Methodist Church. Organizers would like to stress that Giving Thanks is for everyone and it is free thanks to the support of local corporations, businesses, organizations, and individuals. All locations will be serving from 11:00am till 2:00pm.
