MHS Grad Nets Army Promotion
David Simms, a 1995 graduate of Memorial High School and a 2000 graduate of The Ohio State University, was promoted recently to the rank of First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Simms was promoted Nov. 22, 2001 at Camp Casey in the Republic of Korea. He is currently serving as a tank platoon leader in D Company, First Battalion, 72nd Armor, Second Infantry Division.
Simms' next assignment will see him serve as Troop Executive Officer, Second Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Carson, Colorado.
