James Bayman

James "Dago" Bayman, 65, of 432 Clinton Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 12:32 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2002, at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana, following a long illness.

He was born March 16, 1937, in Saint Marys, Ohio, the son of George and Lucille (Coehick) Bayman.

He married Sharon Zimmeran on April 25, 1958; she survives at the residence.

He is survived by six children: Darrell Bayman of Saint Marys; Pamela Schwartz of Saint Marys; Mrs. Tonya (John) Meyer of Saint Marys; Mrs. Penny (Doug) Hicks of Wapakoneta; Mrs. Dawn (Chet) Knous of Saint Marys; James Bayman (Michelle) Jr of Delphos, Ohio. He is survived by 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother-in-law, LaVere Zimmerman of Saint Marys.

He is survived by three brothers, Jack (and Mamie) Bayman of Lavern, Alabama; Michael (and Laura) Bayman of Saint Marys; Pat (and Carla) Bayman of Saint Marys; by two sisters, Mrs. Roberta (Louis) Schoenher of Orem, Utah; Mrs. Diane (Cloyd) Zimmerman of Bakersfield, California. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Shirley Bayman of Wapakoneta.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Gary Bayman; by one son, Mark Bayman.

Mr. Bayman was retired from Local 329, Lima, Ohio. He had previously worked at Goodyear Saint Marys.

He was a member of the Lima Christian Center. He loved fishing and watching NASCAR Racing. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 767, Saint Marys.

He had served in the Ohio National Guard.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 25, 2002, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 State Route 703 West, Saint Marys, the Reverend Samuel Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, where memorial donations may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be sent to MILLERFH@bright.net.
