St. Marys, Ohio. James Manning Irish, 47, of 1123 Neil Avenue, died at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys as the result of a sudden illness. He was born March 16, 1955, in St. Marys, Ohio, the son of George and June (Heap) Irish. His mother and father preceded him in death.
He married Donna Nussbaum on May 12 1984; she survives at the residence.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sara (Jeff) Dieringer, Heather Irish, Amanda Irish and Ashley Irish of St. Marys, and Father and Mother-In-Law John and Dolly Nussbaum.
Jim was a 1973 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He attended Bluffton College, He was employed at The Minster Machine Company for 24 years.
Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #767 in St. Marys, where he had served as secretary of its golf league.
He was part of the St. Marys Sister Cities Delegation that visited Hokudan-Cho, Japan in 2000.
He operated the concession stand at K.C. Geiger Park for five years, and he coached St. Marys Girls Softball League teams.
More than anything, Jim loved his family and having fun in life.
Funeral rites were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2003 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Patricia Minnich officiating. Interment at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, services by Miller Funeral Home.
