ST. MARYS, OHIO - Fairy Walker, 82, formerly of 227 Northway Drive, and a resident of the St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, in St. Marys.
She was born February 4, 1921, in Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Omer and Lydia (Fox) Hinton.
She is survived by six children: Paul (and Linda) Walker of Coldwater, Michigan; Glen (and Becky) Walker of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Mrs. Janice (Leroy) Goodwin of St. Marys, Ohio; Betty Walker of Holly Hills, Florida; Mrs. Rita (Earl) Baker of St. Marys; Mrs. Lois (Richard) Swallow of Wapakoneta.
She is survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is survived by two brothers, Omer (and Jan) Hinton of Arizona; Floyd (and Janet) Hinton of Phoenix, Arizona; by one sister, Alice Hinton of Wapakoneta.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, spouse, and one granddaughter, Marcie Walker.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved being around people.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St. Marys, the Reverend Gregory Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Fund.
