Louetta "Boots" Katterhenry

WAPAKONETA, OHIO - Louetta "Boots" Katterhenry, 86, of 14030 Kohler Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio, and a former resident of 2454 Bay Breeze Street, Saint James City, Florida, died 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio.

She was born September 16, 1916, in Moulton Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of Grover and Henrietta (Rohrbacher) Lynch.

She married Paul Katterhenry on March 7, 1939; he preceded her in death on February 3, 1986.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann (Ed ) Shroyer of Wapakoneta; by one grandson, Paul (and Sue) Swartz of St. Marys; two granddaughters, Beth Shroyer of Plymouth, Michigan, and Ann Shroyer of Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by a great-grandson, Nicholas Swartz of St. Marys; and by two step-great-grandchildren, Chelsy Dixon and Cory Rhinock, both of St. Marys. She is survived by her son-in-law, Sam Swartz of St. Marys. She is survived by three sisters, Winona Mees of Moulton, Ohio; Marian Kentner of Moulton; and Berdella Kentner of Wapakoneta.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Kathryn Swartz; three brothers, Emil, Raymond and Theodore Lynch; by one sister, Catherine Lynch.

Mrs. Katterhenry was a 1934 graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta. She assisted in the operation of the family farm and was also the office manager of Resthaven Memory Gardens. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys and attended the Saint James Baptist Church in St. James City, Florida.

She loved entertaining people in her home. She was an accomplished cook; she enjoyed needlework and growing roses.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St. Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Patricia Minnich officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the Saint Paul's United Church of Christ.
