ST. MARYS, OHIO - Isabelle C. Silver, 90, formerly of 531 N. Front St., St. Marys, died at 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Lima, a daughter of George and Margaret (Still) Kohler. On Aug. 15, 1931, she married Melville W. Silver, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1987.
She is survived by three children, Melville "Tom" (Barbara) Silver of Leipsic and Berry (Dorothy) Silver and Mary "Lelajo" (Joseph) Reineke of St. Marys. She is survived by eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Young and Jane Young.
Mrs. Silver was a 1930 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She had worked at the former E.U.B. Campground, St. Marys Mills, Goodyear St. Marys and DWG Cigar Factory. She retired in 1964 from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, where she had worked in the dietary department.
She was a member of the former Kishler Women's Relief Corps in St. Marys. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, with the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
