ST. MARYS, OHIO - Deloris M. Smith, 81, of 159 Watercrest Drive in St. Marys, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Alfred and Margaret (Brown) Ludwig.
She was married to William Smith, and he preceded her in death in 1978.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Donna Pulaski of Macedonia and Virginia (Tony) Surma of St. Marys; one son, Daniel Smith of Sterling Heights, Va., and three grandchildren, Trevor Smith, Brittany Smith and Kenneth Pulaski.
Mrs. Smith was retired from the State of New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. She was also a volunteer worker for the Auglaize County Council on Aging, and she enjoyed sewing.
Private family funeral services will be held. Graveside services and burial will follow at the Arlington National Cemetery, near Washington, D.C.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Brothers Funeral Home in St. Marys.
