ST. MARYS, OHIO - Vernon Minkner, 71, of St. Marys and formerly of West Milton, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at his residence.
He was the son of Ray and Mary (Hammond) Minkner, and they preceded him in death.
He was married to Rose Ann McKee, and she preceded him in death.
Mr. Minkner is survived by two daughters, Shirley Grubbs of Eaton and Betty Minkner of Florida; one stepdaughter, Pat Minkner of Dayton; one son, Ray Minkner of Chillicothe; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He served in the Navy.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home in West Milton. The Rev. Robert Kurtz will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
