WAYNESFIELD, OHIO - Dorothy Elizabeth Line, 97, formerly of Waynesfield and St. Marys, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Burton's Ridge in Lima.
Line was born on April 30, 1906, in Albany, Ind., to Otto W. and Mary C. (Trout) Fite. She married Ralph C. Line on June 22, 1927, and he died on July 17, 1989.
Line is survived by sons Rex E. (Nevelyn) Line of Waynesfield and James R. (Marilyn) Line of Dexter, Mich.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by a sister Betty Jane at six months of age and two brothers, Ralph G. Fite and John F. Fite.
She was a homemaker and was employed at Howard Johnston Motel for 10 years.
Line was a member of the Waynesfield United Methodist Church, graduated from St. Marys High School is 1924, a former member of the Waynesfield Senior Citizens, received a certificate for 50 years of voting in the Waynesfield area and she enjoyed needlework and crocheting.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Waynesfield United Methodist Church in Waynesfield with the Rev. Jackie D. Leigh officiating.
Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Waynesfield United Methodist Church and St. Rita's Hospice.
