ST. MARYS, OHIO - Rosemary Gibson, 82, formerly of 308 S. Pine St. in St. Marys, died at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born May 28, 1921, in St. Marys, to John E. and Mary L. "Molly" (Burden) Whitehead.
She married William H. Gibson on Sept. 18, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1979.
She is survived by two sons, Billy (Brenda) Gibson and Paul (Nancy) Gibson, both of St. Marys; a daughter, Melody (William) Grunden of St. Marys; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Gibson; her daughter, Sharon Rose Gibson; and a great-granddaughter Michelle Frey.
Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Miller, Long and Folk Funeral Home located at 314 W. High St. in St. Marys. The Rev. Charles Richtmyer will officiate. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Celina Area Visiting Nurses Hospice Program or the Valley Nursing Home Activities Fund.
