ST. MARYS, OHIO - Mary Jane Dircksen, 55, of 200 N. Knoxville Ave. in St. Marys, died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born June 4, 1948, in Lima to Herman and Alfreda (Hoying) Dircksen.
She is survived by her mother Alfreda Dircksen of New Bremen; three brothers, Joe (Retta) Dircksen of Baltimore, Md., David (Rebecca) Dircksen of St. Marys and Roger (Janet) Dircksen of Lima; two godchildren, Tonya and Tony McBride of Cygnet; special friends, Rick and Barb Stevenson of Cygnet, Pat and Reggie Riegers and Jim and Gloria Hollandsworth, all of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her father Herman Dircksen and a sister Susan Ruth Dircksen.
Ms. Dircksen was a 1967 graduate of New Bremen High School and was employed as the manager of the Lucky Steer Restaurant in St. Marys. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and she enjoyed woodworking and going to auctions.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 511 E. Spring St. in St. Marys. The Rev. David A. Heinl will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, located at 1605 Ohio 703 West in St. Marys.
