Floyd E. Craft, 79

ST. MARYS, OHIO - Floyd E. Craft, 79, of 2115 Celina Road in St. Marys, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Bluffton.

He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Glynwood to Edgar and Flora (Flarida) Craft.

He married Delores Wilkens on Nov. 22, 1939, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 2002.

He is survived by one daughter Janet (John) Riggenbach of Columbus Grove; two sons, Roger (Jacqueline) Craft of Lima and Tom Craft of St. Marys; his stepmother, Jwilva Craft of St. Marys; two half-brothers, David (Lynn) Craft and James (Sheila) Craft, both of St. Marys; two half-sisters, Carol (Bob) Waesch of St. Marys and Donna (David) Shreiner of Millersburg; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Harvey Edgar Craft; his brother, Dale Craft; and one grandson, Brian Riggenbach.

Mr. Craft was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He will be remembered as a very patriotic American who belonged to the American Legion Post 323 in St. Marys.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys. He was a member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary.

He had worked for many years at several local funeral homes, including the former Yoder Funeral Home, Long and Folk Funeral Home and the Miller Funeral Homes, where he performed funeral and ambulance service duties.

He was a devoted husband and father; a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church in St. Marys; an avid traveler who enjoyed camping with the "Holiday Ramblers"; and a member of the former Lima Motorcycle Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys. The Rev. Ron Spurgeon will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
