2000 SummerFest Queen and Court Crowned
ST. MARYS -- St. Marys SummerFest festivities began in earnest Monday night at the MHS Performing Arts Center with the annual SummerFest Queen Pageant.
Andy Hrycko and Jim Hyatt teamed to MC the event which culminated with the coronation of Jennifer Strickland as this years' SummerFest Queen.

The 2000 SummerFest Queen and Court are (l-r) Jenny Strickland (Queen), Kristy Yahl (4th Runner-Up), Angela Hollinger (3rd Runner-Up), Kelly Katterheinrich (2nd Runner-Up), and Leslie Bergman (1st Runner-Up).
1999 Queen Lori Triplett relinquished her crown gracefully. She also presented the Congeniality Award to Kristy Yahl (photo), and, with Abby Axe, sang an original composition, "Much Too Beautiful."

This year's contestants were (l-r) Courtney Frye, Leslie Bergman, Audrey Hirschfeld, Jenny Strickland, Kristy Yahl, Kelly Katterheinrich, Aimee Boysell, Cindy Liette, Angela Hollinger, Sarah Dennings, Kristina Sims and Aubrey Timbs.
Entertainment was provided by Jason Schumm (shown here singing "Semi-Charmed Life"), and Christina's Dance Escape.
Congratulations to Queen Jenny and her Court, and many thanks to the St. Marys Soroptimist Club and the generous sponsors of this thrilling event. Photos by 1998 SummerFest Queen Jenni Botkin.
