MHS Homecoming Queen & Court Announced

2001 Queen, Court

ST. MARYS, OHIO - The 2001 MHS Homecoming Weekend is upon us (Oct. 12 & 13), and Memorial High School Principal Mike Makley has announced this year's Homecoming Queen and her Court.

    They are:
  • Alicia Roth - Homecoming Queen
  • Lauren Widner - Senior Attendant
  • Amy Brotherton - Junior Attendant
  • Erica Bruggeman - Sophomore Attendant
  • Alyssa Blackburn - Freshman Attendant

    Memorial High School Senior Alicia Roth will rule over the Homecoming Court as she was selected 2001 Homecoming Queen.

    Alicia is the daughter of Bob and Joyce Roth.

    Her school activities include: Student Council where she has served as Student Advisor, Treasurer and President; Pep Club; Yearbook Staff; Cheerleader; Class President (three years); Deca; Attendance Aide and Thespians.

    Her community activities include volunteering at the hospital and Goodfellows.

    After graduation Alicia plans to attend college and major in Public Relations with a minor in Accounting.

    Alicia will be escorted by Mike Mallory, who is representing Student Council. Mike is the son of Richard and Elaine Mallory.

    The Senior Attendant is Lauren Widner, the daughter of Dane and Cindy Widner.

    Her school activities include the National Honor Society, the high school swimming team and an aide in the main office.

    Her community activities include involvement with the youth group at her church and a part-time job at the St. Marys Health Center.

    After graduation, Lauren plans to attend Olivet University and major in nursing.

    Lauren will be escorted by Justin Hiskey, who will be representing the National Honor Society. Justin is the son of Robert and Deann Hiskey.

    Tonight’s Junior Attendant is Amy Brotherton, the daughter or Mark and Cathy Brotherton.

    Her school activities include: soccer; swimming team’ track; school play; Thespian; band; choir and Glitter-N-Gold.

    Her community activities include Girl Scouts and youth group.

    Amy will be escorted by Wes Sweigart, who is representing the Future Farmers of America. Wes is the son of Wayne and Shelly Sweigart.

    Tonight’s Sophomore Attendant is Erica Bruggeman, the daughter of Tom and Kathy Bruggeman.

    Her school activities include volleyball; the Pep Club and the Spanish Club. She is also an aide in the attendance office.

    Her community activities include a part-time job at the Style Salon.

    Erica will be escorted by Chase Flinn, who is representing Student Council. Chase is the son of Jim and Cathy Flinn.

    Tonight’s Freshman Attendant is Alyssa Blackburn, the daughter of David and Diane Blackburn.

    Her school activities include Class Representative, the Pep Club; Thespians; softball and an office aide.

    Her community activities include youth group and the Headstart Christmas Dinner.

    Alyssa will be escorted by Adam Lauth who is representing the Art Club. Adam is the son of Denny and Connie Lauth.
